Maryland Honors the State's “Technology Tough”Technology Council of Maryland Names the State's Leading Information Technology and Biotechnology Companies, and Their Leaders.
Rockville, MD - April 19, 2002 - The Technology Council of Maryland (TCM) hosted its twelfth Annual High Tech Awards Celebration-dubbed "Maryland Muscle" to honor Maryland's leaders in the growing technology industry for their remarkable contributions. Winners were announced at the gala event last night."Each year we receive outstanding nominees for the Tech Council's Awards," said Dyan Brasington, President of TCM. "Selecting the award recipients is always a difficult task. The selection committee, however, did a great job of choosing winners who exemplify this year's theme of being technology tough."
The 2002 honorees are pacesetters in Maryland's Technology Arena:

The evening also celebrates TCM's 16th year as the state's pioneering technology organization. Through its leadership, informational meeting, networking and partnering opportunities, the Council has championed Maryland's technology industry and has helped launched many Maryland-based companies into the national spotlight. This support and assistance have enabled startups to become dominant market leaders in a matter of a few years. "The Council continues to make tremendous strides in serving the tech industry in Maryland," said Brasington. "In the future, we will continue to advance the growth and prosperity of Maryland's technology community. We're delighted with the accomplishments of the various industry sectors and are excited with the growth in the number of successful technology companies throughout the state."
