(Rockville, MD)- March 17, 2006 -The Tech Council of Maryland (TCM) named finalists for its Annual Dinner and Tech Awards Celebration to be held April 5, 2006 at the Bethesda North Conference Center in Bethesda, MD. The finalists were selected in five different awards categories including Executive of the Year, Entrepreneur of the Year, Biotechnology Firm of the Year and Government Contracting Firm of the Year. The winners will be named and honored at Maryland's Best Night of Networking - the TCM Annual Dinner and Tech Awards.
The TCM Tech Awards annually honor the technology companies that stand above the rest and executives who have made outstanding contributions to their companies and in some cases, their communities. Some of the judging criteria include the ability of the company to show revenue growth and the ability of the company to take the lead on technological advancements that have had a direct impact on their markets. TCM's awards are among Maryland's highest technology honors and this year's finalists are:

The 2006 Annual Dinner and Tech Awards Celebration attracts statewide attention and its committee received more than 45 nominations in the four categories, which set a new record for nominations. Winners will be honored in front of an anticipated audience of 900 technology professionals from industry, government, and education.
