(Rockville, MD) - November 16, 2006 - The Tech Council of Maryland (TCM) announced the winners of the first-ever CIO&CTO Live! More than 200 IT Professionals from Maryland, DC, and Virginia were shoulder-to-shoulder to see who would win the inaugural awards to honor the most accomplished CIOs, CTOs and IT pros in the Mid-Atlantic Region.
"We were very pleased with the nominations we received from the Mid-Atlantic region for this first ever event," said Julie Coons, Chief Executive Officer, TCM. "The winners and finalists are professionals who clearly define and redefine their organization's IT vision and how they implement that vision to help guide their company."
Special guest, Maryfran Johnson, Vice President and Editorial Director of TechTarget's CIO Decisions Media Group, addressed the technology business executives about the history of IT and computers. She tracked the American computer savvy from its fledgling days as a niche industry to the multi-billion dollar business of today.
