(Rockville, MD)-April 23, 2007- The Tech Council of Maryland/MdBio (TCM) today announced the finalists for their 2007 Annual Tech Awards. Finalists will be honored and the winners announced on May 2nd during the Annual Tech Awards Celebration.
The TCM/MdBio Annual Tech Awards recognizes and honors industry leaders in Maryland. Previous winners of these awards have included MedImmune, Inc., Linda Gooden, President of Lockheed Martin Information Technology and Pradman Kaul, CEO and President of Hughes Network Systems.
"TCM/MdBio's Annual Tech Awards Celebration is attended by some of the most respected leaders in Maryland's technology and business community," said Julie Coons, Chief Executive Officer of TCM. "The event always proves to be Maryland's best night of networking for the tech industry." This year's notable attendees include Maryland Governor Martin O'Malley.
Executive of the Year: Recognizes and honors executives who have made outstanding contributions to their firm and driven it to succeed through their leadership skills and personal abilities in 2006. Finalists are:
High Technology Firm of the Year: Acknowledges organizations, which have innovative technologies and products that are making a difference in the way companies do business. Finalists are:
Biotechnology Firm of the Year: Acknowledges the firm that best exemplifies the spirit of the Maryland biotechnology community as well as its presence and leadership in Maryland. Finalists are:
Government Contracting Firm of the Year: Recognizes the firm that has proven its ability to provide exemplary service to our nation either as a prime or subcontractor. Finalists are:
Service Provider of the Year: Recognizes any business, agency, firm or organization that has given outstanding customer and service support to the technology community.
The 2007 TCM/MdBio Annual Tech Awards Celebration, known as Maryland's best night of networking, will be held on May 2nd at the Bethesda North Marriott Hotel and Conference Center.
