Summary
Officers recently discovered the body of Leif Steele lying dead inside his kitchen. Crime scene investigators were sent to the scene and meticulously processed every piece of evidence. Based upon their investigation the police suspect that there may have been foul play.

Objectives
Upon completion of No Trace Left Behind students will be able to:
Pre-Lab
- discuss the role of a catalyst in a chemical reaction
- define a redox reaction
- explain the importance of using positive and negative controls
- demonstrate a redox reaction using hemoglobin as a catalyst
- evaluate test results to determine if any of the samples contain blood
Post-Laboratory
- construct a plausible scenario based upon the evidence
- consider whether more testing should be performed
