June 4 Event Focuses on Innovation in Health IT, with Shark Tank Competition for Entrepreneurs and Sessions Featuring Healthcare Leaders

Health IT Conference & Expo
This premier industry event brings together leaders and innovators who are revolutionizing the healthcare delivery system. Attendees can learn about the latest innovations, research, trends and big ideas that are shaping the healthcare ecosystem.

The schedule will feature sessions and panel discussions on topics such as data and analytics, mobile, wearables, business strategies and technological innovation.

Keynote addresses will be delivered by:

  • Michael O'Neil, Founder and CEO, GetWellNetwork
  • Anand K. Iyer, Ph.D., MBA, Chief Data Science Officer, WellDoc

Other features event include:

  • Shark Tank-style Competition – Small businesses and budding entrepreneurs – including Avhana Health, Hungry Harvest LLC, Ionescu Technologies, MEDEX Spot and Mindoula Health Inc. – will have the unique opportunity to sell their ideas to investors during this mid-day session.
  • Career Fair – In collaboration with Howard Community College and the University of Maryland (CHIDS), the conference also will include a career fair to provide attendees the opportunity to meet with representatives from a variety of health IT employers.
